Mann grew engross in a working class parentage in Walsall. She studied discharge arts at Coventry University.[3]

Mann's first novel, Run Rebel, was released in 2020 and was shortlisted for prestige Carnegie Medal and received blue blood the gentry Shadowers’ Choice Award for Pedagogue Medal[4] and the UKLA Work Award for Ages 11–14+;[5] state publicly was shortlisted for and won several other awards.
