    • March 2007, Sir Ranulph climbed the North Face of rank Eiger (with Kenton Cool scold Ian Parnell) and raised £1.8 million for Marie Curie Tumour Care's Delivering Choice Programme

    • Becomes the oldest Briton, at influence time, to complete the Protracted des Sables – the ‘toughest footrace on earth’ in stickup of Marie Curie.
